Social Media Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, managing and monitoring the chamber’s Social Media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, improve Marketing efforts and increase numbers, visitors and sales.
Social Media Manager job description
We are looking for an experienced, passionate and creative Social Media Manager to join our team. As a Social Media Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing our Social Media strategy in order to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and sales efforts. The chamber needs a self driven, self motivated person who knows Bragg Creek and is able to expand on what the town has to offer.
Social Media Manager duties and responsibilities
Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy
Define most important social media KPIs
Manage and oversee social media content
Measure the success of every social media campaign
Stay up to date with latest social media best practices and technologies
Use social media marketing tools
Attend meetings
Work with local business owners and chamber members to ensure content is informative and appealing
Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
Data Analytics
Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
Provide constructive feedback
Adhere to rules and regulations
Present to Chamber of Commerce
Social Media Manager requirements and qualifications
5 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role
Social Media Strategist using social media for brand awareness and impressions
Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, YouTube and other social media best practices
Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research
Good understanding of social media KPIs
The composing and execution of 3 newsletters per month using Constant Contact as the ESP
General Management of 2 Websites- Updates, adding meeting minutes, news, events, calendar, board members etc.
New Member Listings, Member updates, Members non-renewals.
Ad plug-ins and management
E-commerce management on Visit Bragg Creek site
Knowledge of WordPress is a must
Excellent multitasking skills
Great leadership skills
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Team player
Good time-management skills
Great interpersonal, presentation and communication skills

    Good afternoon,
    I’m replying to this very quickly as I am out on the road.
    I am interested in discussing your Social Media position
    I own and operate a Facebook page that I’ve started just to be supportive of the community.
    Shop Cook Eat Drink Bragg Creek
    There is also an Instagram page to go with but I haven’t really got that one rolling yet – just have it set in place waiting to connect with my Facebook page. (There’s also a Facebook group)
    And while I don’t have a glowing resume concerning these job qualifications I do have some great social media knowledge and I have a real desire to promote the community for everyone’s success!
    I foresee spending some money on advertising so that these ‘local’ posts go out across Alberta (and further!) regularly. I anticipate a bustling Instagram page with thousands of followers who are watching our page to see the beauty of our home town!
